The Company Enigma Systems is a French company based in Paris and was founded at the very beginning of 2003. The purpose of Enigma Systems is to develop and deploy content protection sys-tems based on patented inno-vative concepts which mainly : | |  | Allow secure, dynamic, frequent and unlimited se-curity renewal of the whole system. | | | | Guarantee the integrity of the reception devices or players restoring the digital contents to the end users. |
The Enigma Name ENIGMA was a cryptographic machine used by the German army during the Second World War. Strategic information was obscured by this type of « black box » security scheme that encoded secret information through the use of keys and cryptographic algorithms.
The Enigma Machine The famous British mathematician Professor Alan Turing cryptanalysed the ENIGMA codes. By doing this, he cut short the world wide conflict by several years and thus saved many lives.
| Later Mr Turing produced various mathematical works using modern data computing principles.
Among other things, Mr Turing demonstrated that that no modern or future computers would be able to solve some kinds of problems classified as undecidable.

ENIGMA SYSTEMS bears this name in homage to Mr. Alan TURING. As opposed to « black box » security schemes like dedicated hardware devices solutions or the ENIGMA machine, our technology is a « white box » security scheme and does not rely on secrecy. Finally, it has been demons-trated that trying to break the CERTEX SYSTEM with a com-puter is equivalent to trying to solve an undecidable problem.  more info
